The goons and goblins are upon us and you’re running out of time -- Halloween is less than a week away and there is still time to decide how to throw the perfect last minute Halloween party for your friends and families to enjoy!
Easy party idea below!
PUMPKIN CARVING PARTY:
A classic activity everyone would enjoy doing at any age!
What you will need:
1. News paper or vinyl tablecloths to cover the floor and for easy clean up.
2. Carving tools (BYOCT make it a bring-your-own-carving-tools) if you have extra tools then that's great!
(For pumpkin carvings including children: Parents please assist child(ren) with the use of sharp tools and carving the pumpkin. Sharp tools can be dangerous if not properly used)
Where you can find carving tools:
Ace Hardware
Home Depot
Party City
Amazon
Target
Oriental Trading
Williams - Sonoma Stores
Wal-mart
Ebay... etc
3. Carving designs, to make it even more fun have your guest freestyle their pumpkins. See some ideas here:

4. Some howlin' jams, no need to purchase CD's or scramble to download a bunch of songs. Pandora Satellite Radio has every genre song you need! Just type in "Halloween Party"
5. Last, but not least you will need pumpkins. Make it a BYOP (bring-your-own-pumpkin)
Extra Bonus: Provide some yummy treats! Set up different treats around your table in bowls so your guest can trick or treat around the table!
Muuaahhahahahahaa!!

The Nightmare Before Christmas
Being the patron saint of Christmas is no small order. Just ask a certain Pumpkin King (aka Sandy Claws) who once tried the jolly old elf's hat on for size. While Jack is now apt to leave official holiday business to the real Santa, he's still game to take part in a cookie swap or two.
What you'll need
Batch of chocolate cupcakes
Cupcake frosting tinted "monster" green
Plastic decorating bag for piping frosting (check the cake decorating section of your grocery or craft store)
Kitchen scissors
Black licorice
Toothpick
How to make it
Frost the cupcakes with a thin layer of icing.
Place a half marshmallow on the center of each frosted cupcake.
Cut off the tip of the plastic decorating bag so that the opening is about 3/4-inch wide. Then fill the bag with green frosting (not too full or the frosting will come out the top when you squeeze it).
Working with one cupcake at a time, pipe frosting around the base of the marshmallow and then up and over it, moving toward the center and ending with a large peak.
Smooth the surface of the frosting with a butter knife, periodically dipping the tip of the knife in water so the icing will be easier to spread. Don't worry about making it perfectly smooth -- it will look even more like Oogie Boogie with a few lumps and "wrinkles."
Snip a pair of narrow licorice eyes and a wide licorice mouth for each cupcake. Use the tip of a toothpick to gently press the candy pieces into the frosting face, angling the eyes a bit to resemble Oogie Boogie's.

Graduation!
It's about that time of year our loved ones, friends and family are making one of life's many milestones and greatest achievements!
Graduation!
It's also that time where we spend more money than we should allow ourselves ...
Tips on how to budget during graduation :
1. Choose your gifts wisely
2. Plan ahead for all event dinners and expected guest
3. D.I.Y - it may reacquire more time, but homemade graduation announcements or invitations, cakes, dinners, celebrations...etc are unique and most importantly saves money
4. Graduation clothes... What items do you have in your closet you can possibly mix or match? or buy a few new pieces to make an old piece look great!
5. Remember to remain stress free and organized
Congratulations grads!
